A new council, a new vision. The Hamilton and District CUPE Council (Local 9114) is re-launching this fall.
The Hamilton and District Council of the Canadian Union of Public Employees has been formed to:
- Improve the social and economic well being of all of its members;
- Promote equality for all members and to oppose all types of harassment and discrimination
- Promote the efficiency of public services; and express its belief in the unity of organized labour
HDCC membership is open to all CUPE Local Unions within the Hamilton & District area:
- Hamilton
- Hagersville
- Grimsby
- Dundas
- Stoney Creek
- Ancaster
- Counties of Haldimand, Halton and Wentworth
Hamilton & District CUPE Council (HDCC) goals:
- Build solidarity and unity among Hamilton & District CUPE Unions
- Share information and resources
- Co-ordinate labour movement activities
- Support and attend labour movement activities
